Lion Kills

Battle at Kumana Dam: Six Lions vs buffalo herd

Drama, Drama Watch the entire video! Less than 24 hours after killing and devouring a buffalo, the old Mluwati male and his five sons are back at it. This time, it was just instinctual nature. Even though they weren't hungry, they were compelled to hunt when a small buffalo herd approached their domain at the Kumana Dam in South Africa's Kruger National Park. The two Fourways males and the Torchwood male currently control the Mazithi and Leeupan lion prides. But in the last few months, they have been pushing further north, being seen in between the S86 and Kumana dam in Central Kruger National Park on several occasions. It appeared they were expanding their territory. The Kumana lion pride was previously controlled by the two Mluwati male lions. A couple of days ago, we filmed one of the Fourways males in the company of the Kumana pride and with new cubs. It now makes sense why they were spending so much time further north. It will be interesting to see if the three males manage to keep control of all three prides now that they have an even larger territory to patrol. The blonder Mluwati male appears to have disappeared a while back, with no recent sightings of him in the last year. It seemed only a matter of time before the remaining Mluwati male would lose control of the Kumana pride. He has been frequently seen in the last couple months with several of his eight sons, who appear to have left the Kumana pride as well.

Lioness kills Kudu for Shishangaan brothers to eat

A hungry Casper The White Lion and two of his brothers decided to leave the Nsemani area and return to the Satara Lion Pride. It was their lucky day. After lazing around with the lionesses and their three cubs, one of the lionesses spotted a Kudu antelope close by. Watch what happens next.

Small Lion Cubs kill dangerous snake

Most Amazing: Tiny Lion Cubs of Casper The White Lion and his Shish Brothers of the Satara Lion Pride show their fearless bravery by catching and killing a highly venomous Puff Adder Snake in Kruger National Park. Notice at the start of the video how the Cubs first ask the Lioness permission to attack the deadly snake. After that, all the cubs join in on the kill—their first kill and one to be proud of! After the excitement of the kill, some return to the lioness, who allows them to nurse on her for a well-deserved sip of mother's milk. Well done, Casper and Brothers You have fathered real champion cubs that will be a force to be reckoned with in the future!

Casper the White Lion and Brothers hunt three buffalos

Let's spend a day in the presence of the world-famous Casper the White Lion and his three brothers—Casanova, Footloose, and Mfowethu—as they feast on a double buffalo kill (Cow and her young calf) close to Satara Rest Camp in Kruger National Park. And, if the double kill was not enough, they attacked another buffalo calf! We watch them trying to protect their kill from hungry vultures, though their tummies are so full they can't hardly move. At the end of the day, the 'foursome' retire to a nearby river to quench their thirst, thereby leaving the remains of their kill to the scavengers.

Ngotso Lion Pride hunts wildebeest

Three Lionesses of Kumana Pride hunt huge old buffalo bull

Incredible Lion Strength and Skill: Watch how 'only' three lionesses (probably the mother and her two daughters) of the Kumana Lion Pride bring down a huge old Buffalo Bull. When the Buffalo Bulls—we call them "Dagga"Boys"—arrive at the Kumana Dam to drink, they all notice the Lionesses watching them. They look at the lions with contempt, thinking that only three lionesses will ever pose any danger to three big boys like them. Surprise, never underestimate the strength and skills of the ultimate killing machine—the King of the Jungle, the Lion.
